Representative Projects: Marine Structures :

Marine Oil Teriminal, Benicia, California – The project involves evaluating seismic stability of an existing marine oil terminal consisting of a main pier with five nearby dolphins and connecting walkways. Geotechnical exploration included drilling borings, pushing CPTs, and performing P-wave and S-wave suspension logging on drill ship. Site conditions include very soft to medium stiff silt and clay with organics (Bay Mud), underlain by either medium dense silty sand or rock.

Hultgren – Tillis Engineers reviewed existing geotechnical data, performed site exploration, developed geotechnical analysis of slope stability, liquefaction and pile capacity.
