Representative Projects: Dams & Levees :

Levee Improvements, Jersey Island, California - Hultgren-Tillis Engineers are the geotechnical engineers for Reclamation District 830 on Jersey Island.  The Reclamation District is undertaking a program to strengthen their levees and to bring the levee crest elevations up to the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Plan standard, one foot above the 100-year flood.  To date, the District has improved more than 4 miles of it’s 15.5 miles of levees.  Other levee improvements  have included placement of riprap at Blind Point to fill a steeply eroded slope immediately adjacent to a deep-water shipping channel.
